How to solve the glare problem of car LED headlights? Safe driving starts with a beam of light
With the rapid development of LED lighting technology, car LED headlights are widely used in various types of vehicles due to their advantages such as energy saving, long life, high brightness, and beautiful appearance, becoming the first choice for headlight upgrades. But at the same time, a problem that cannot be ignored has gradually emerged-the safety hazards caused by glare.
This beam of light that should illuminate the road ahead, if improperly designed or used, has become "light pollution" on the road.
So, how to solve the glare problem of LED headlights and achieve a balance between lighting effects and driving safety?
1. Why are LED headlights prone to glare?
The main reasons why LED headlights cause widespread glare problems are as follows:
Irrational light distribution design: LED bulbs are installed in traditional reflective bowls, and the light distribution is out of control;
Irregular lamp modification: Directly replace LED bulbs but ignore the angle and lens matching;
Brightness is too high and the color temperature is glaring: Many LED lights have a color temperature of more than 6000K, which is cold white light and has strong stimulation to the human eye;
Lack of automatic adjustment function: When the vehicle load changes, the light height is not corrected in time.
2. Solution: Comprehensive optimization in five dimensions
1. Choose a professional LED headlight brand with light distribution design
High-quality LED headlights do not only win by brightness, but more importantly, "light type design". Regular brand automotive-grade LED headlights will effectively control glare in the following ways:
Precise light type tangent to avoid irradiating the eyes of the opposite driver;
Evenly focus, bright in the middle, dark on both sides, and different in distance;
The light spot is concentrated, without overflow or scattering;
It is recommended to choose products with CE, FCC, etc. certification to ensure their optical safety.
2. "Blind modification" is strictly prohibited, and the installation must match the lamp structure
If your original car has halogen lamps, directly replacing LED bulbs does not mean upgrading, but it is very easy to cause the light to be out of control.
Correct approach:
Go to a professional store for installation, and let the technician adjust the light type and light angle;
Or use an LED kit with a lens structure, the light type is clear and matches the original car.
3. Do a good job of daily inspection and light type calibration
Even if the lamp is installed well, it cannot be taken lightly, and daily inspection and regular calibration are still indispensable:
Check whether the light height is too high;
Confirm whether the tangent of the light type is skewed;
If a collision occurs or the shock absorber is replaced, the light should be readjusted.
The technological progress brought by automotive LED headlights cannot be ignored, but its real value lies not in "how far it shines", but in "whether it shines just right".
CONPEX Group fully considers avoiding glare, precise light distribution, and intelligent control in the technical development of automotive LED light-off, which is the most basic respect for every car owner and others.
Safe driving starts with a gentle and precise light.
